bw engineers’ “BIM – Open Source” programme shortlisted for funding by Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Housing

The Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Housing  Baden-Wuerttemberg has granted a total sum of 4 million Euro from the funds “Strategy of Digitalization” (digital@bw) to support medium-sized businesses in their efforts towards digitalization.

The funding for the ambitious programme of bw engineers is a result of an ideas competition initiated by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Housing. It was set up to develop and to experiment with innovative event formats for the transfer of technology and knowledge and to show how new ambits and business areas can be opened up. An internet-based approach for this transfer as well as innovative methods of linking research facilities and business companies was asked for. Out of 55 projects that have been sketched by research- and transfer-institutions, industrial regulatory bodies, educational institutions, cluster-initiatives and regional networks from Baden-Wuerttemberg, 15 projects have been nominated to submit their funding application.

bw engineers is proud to be one of the nominees with their following project:

“BIM Open Source – Implementation Network”.  It links the set-up of a platform for transfer and cooperation in regard to Building Information Modeling (BIM) with accompanying measures of training and transfer.
